I called Aetna to find out if they have recieved my paper work. The rep I talked to said that it would not go to the review board, until there was a tenative surgery date set. Is this normal? I have never heard of anyone doing that, and it just seemed odd to me. He did tell me however that "everything looks good, great even, and once you send in the dietician/doctor notes, then you will be approved" I hope he wasnt just jerking my chain. I got his name, and I will call him out on it if it comes down to it. Thanks for your feedback! Scott

I have anthem also, and they wanted a date, so Dr. C.'s office called and just made one up. Then after you get an approval in writing they will give the real date to the insurance company. Sarah
