I know the biotin is good for preventing hair loss. But what do the B12 and the sublingual B12 do? I am still waiting for a decision from insurance. They told me I should know something by Tuesday or Wednesday. I keep reciting, "Good things come to those who wait". Regina

Sublingual B-12 melts under your tounge and for one provides energy.. Most of the Bs are for energy and stamina. Tons of other stuff but energy mostly. Linda

WOW Linda!! With that quick response I have no doubt you have taken yours. Thanks for the info. I read where you only need to take them 1-2 times a week. Guess I should be taking them before surgery too. Regina

You don't need to take the B- vit's before surgery. You have enough stored in your liver. You should start taking the biotin before surgery to help prevent hair loss. I waited till it started to fall out and that is to late to prevent it. It will help the new growth though. Good luck. They will explain more about the B vitamins and absorbtion in the pre-op nutrition class.
