Thanks Brian for the info. Have you had your surgery yet or do u have a date? How long after you get approved to u have to wait for your surgery? When I had my appt with Dr. C she said she tries to do them within 10 days of your approval but I see many in here have to wait months before getting their surgery. Mariah

I haven't had my surgery yet. I got the approval letter yesterday and Heather from Dr. C's office called to schedule the surgery, but of course I wasn't in my office a the time. I called her back, but she never returned my call. She did state on her message that if I was flexible, we could get this done real soon. I'm hoping to have it done within the next couple of weeks. I wish you the best of luck with everything. If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know.

Thanks Brian, Please keep us posted on what they make you do pre op. Im curious what kind of testing is ahead of your now or if its just show up the day of the surgery. Ive talked to many ppl and they all have had different pre-op diets and testing. I'd like to know what Dr C doing. Thanks Mariah

Mariah, I just read your profile and it seems our cases are very similar. I also sent my packet to the Kentucky when it should have gone to Indy. I think it only took 3-4 days to get to Indy. Stephanie told me the exact same thing. They were backed up and it would take 4-6 weeks. I couldn't believe what I was hearing..lol i know with Dr. C, I have to attend a nutrition class and pre-op testing which consist of an upper GI, a gall bladder ultrasound, and there is some other stuff, but I forget. I should know Monday what all I have to do.

Brian, You are right it does sound like we have alot in common. I just wish I had my approval and we could have the surgery together too. My mom always said missery loves company....It would be great to know that someone else is sharing my pain that first week post op.....lol I was hoping it would be Steph but shes not got her papers from all her drs yet. Do you mind telling me what u do for the state. Most everyone already knows Im a nurse for a drug and alcohol treatment center on the grounds of one of the state hospitals. Mariah btw...I called today but no luck getting any info
