   Hi Tracy!

What an adorable little gift...he looks like Grandma!  I'm very happy for your family to have joy brought to you on Mother's Day this time.  I hope to see you this year!

Have fun with this little guy!

Topic: Drink your water!!!
Hey gang!

I just was thinking of a topic I could post to help us all out.  My biggest challenge with my RNY is staying hydrated.  So I wanted to remind you all to keep a bottle of water with you and plan ahead when you go out in the heat this summer.  (providing we ever get sunshine and heat!)  :)

Bottle water and sugar free flavor packets are great things to keep on hand.  Protein can be added easily with the "bullet" type fruit flavors for the newbies that are trying to get your level of protein up.  It never hurts to give your protein a boost when you are doing more activity in the heat as well.  Sometimes the protein shakes aren't as easily available in the heat.

Dehydration sets in quickly and is hard to bounce back when you get behind on fluids.  Rummage sales and car shows, gardening and walking trails.... things like that will get you dehydrated before you realize it.  So always keep a water bottle on hand and sip, sip, sip!!!

I hope you are all out and about enjoying the summer!!!

Huge hugz,
Tracy

I am excited for you!  I had my surgery 3 years ago May 28.  I love my RNY and think it is one of the best things that ever happened to me.

The support you find here will be very valuable and you will gain friendships for a lifetime.

Welcome and I hope you have great success and no problems at all.

Huge hugz.,

I'm so sorry about your complications. I had the RNY with Dr. Cacucci. I think they are in the same practice together. I think you have every right to be upset. No one wants to be the unlucky few with the complications.

I agree with above and getting a second/third opinion. The RNY is a way different life than the VSG. I always think about how I should have researched them myself and maybe gone with the VSG. I really don't like the malabsorbtion piece of the RNY.

Hope you get healthy soon! Keep us updated!
