I've heard that it's pretty painful as well.  I figure I'll have to wait until my kids are all out of college before I'll be able to afford plastics, but then it will probably take me that long to lose my weight and maintain it for a bit anyway.

sorry, I missspelled Dr. Evanson's name.  Members of my support group think he is great.  Several have had him.  I never thought to ask those in my group because I just took it for granted that I would have to be on some kind of pre-op diet, just didn't know what kind.

yes,Kara, I have and nothing was mentioned.  I know there was some on Dr.Evantans pts in that class and I've noticed that some of his pts. mention being on a liver reduction diet on this forum.  Thats what made me wonder if Dr. Inman does and that maybe they call you up at a later time to tell you to go on it.  I'm concidered a lite weight I guess because I'm starting out at 224lbs,but I'm 4 foot 10 1/2 in so my liver is probable fat . thanks for replying.

Now I just play the insurance waiting game. Evanson said to expect 30 days to get insurance approval and 30 days to get scheduled, so here's to hoping I have my surgery by the end of august. and btw this liver reduction diet sucks.

does anyone know if dr. m inman, carmel, ind. orders a pre-op diet?  I have a surgery date of july 14th and I've gone to my pre-op appt with all the instructions and info on what to expect, but nothing was mentioned about a two week protein diet.  We was given the diet info for the day before surgery.  Does that mean that Inman does not do the two week pre-op or will I be getting a call any day now telling me to start?

Wow, that's great!  I hope your surgery goes well.  I think I'd want to get it ll done at once too.
I'm still pre-op for WLS but am looking forward to getting a date soon.
Welcome to the group and keep us posted!

Hello, My name is Julie and I am new to this group. Backstory, I have been as high as 405 in my life, pre op weight 374 and surgery date 344. I am currently at 225 and my surgeon is ok with me losing up until surgery. I have a realistic goal of going into plastics at 185-190. I am 5'10

My surgeon is guessing I have 15 lbs of skin to be removed. Oh and did I mention that i am having my arms done too.(at the same time)

I'm having my surgery at Wishard and my cost is 10 thousand and some change.

This will be the best money ever spent.

I'm super happy that I found an Indiana group.
