I just had my consult with the doc. Went well but of course I am at the very beginning stages of this process. Glad to have found this board for support too!

It all starts with 1 step, 6 months and a lot of luck.  LOL

I'm a VSGer and will be at St. Vincent on Oct 10th to get my sleeve.  couldn't find one that fits at the big and tall mens stores. 

I've had a great road and got approved the first time.  Persistance pays!

Elizabeth, I had my surgery 2 weeks ago with Evanson and cannot stop being so impressed with him. He actually treats you as a person and not as a some fat person. He truly cares about his patients and makes sure you understand everything. I had 2 people that were in my preop class with me that were from 3 hours away so I dont think younare crazy on that part, most cities now have wls support groups I'm sure you could attend one of those, depending on what your insurance requires will depend on how many times you will need to come down to Carmel. Let us know how things go.
