Topic: RE: platue...
You're very welcome! We all had the same concerns. I about had the big one when I went through my first plateau - then I realized that even though the numbers weren't changing on the scale, my clothes were actually getting looser! Hang in there!

Topic: RE: I kinda wanna date someone...
Hey, I'd date you, but I'm in a commited relationship now, so it can only be platonic, friends only. I would like to have friends who share the same experiences as me, and we can swap stories and stuff.

Plateaus are normal. You will start losing again as long as you follow your appropriate meal plan. Sometimes when you hit a plateau, your body is just catching up. Pay attention to how your clothes fit - instead of losing pounds, you may be losing some inches!
Hang in there.
Hang in there.
Topic: RE: Having trouble eating chicken
I'm almost 3 years out and still have a lot of problem eating chicken. Steak cooked medium goes down the best for me, as does pork.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Topic: RE: Surgery Opinions
I am with the rest of them, there is always a chance for complications with any type of surgery. I am one of the lucky ones, I have not had any serious complications. My biggest complication is that I lost all the fatty tissues are my left hip bone and it just bounces around there, I had to have corazone shots which did no good, but I can live with that kind of pain, because I have gotten my life back.
I have had the Gastric Bypass done twice, and I have lost about 120 lbs. I wish I could lose alot more. I am working on getting back on track, and by coming back to this website is a postitive step for me. I have not been on here for a long time and I all I see are new people. This is a wonderful place to post your concerns.
YOU have to be the one to make the choose that is best for you, no matter what anyone else says. People say this is an easy way out, its not, any weight loss sugery or program is a tool that we are given, and we have to work hard at it. With the support of my family and friends, I am getting back on track. If I don't every take off another pound, that is fine because I can walk and not be out of breath, I can stand at my kitchen sink and do my dishes, I go to the YMCA 4-6 times a week, and do things I would not have done a few years ago. I am doing aqua zumba, water aerobics, I can get on the treadmill, the bike, etc. But the MOST important thing that God and Dr. John Huse gave me was me being around to watch our grandchildren grow up. I can play with them, and I can help take care of them. They are the my life.
Keep us posted on what you decide. It is a journey that I would do over and over again, and remember that because one person journey may have been a rough road, some more them other, but each one of our journey's is different.
God bless,
Peggy

Topic: RE: Feed back on St. Vincent, Carmel, IN
St Vincent in Carmel is great. I was there for my surgery 1/2010 and was treated fantastic. Had to go back for gall bladder surgery in May and they were great once again.
Topic: RE: Dr. Inman's Office/Scheduling
Linda, what qualified you for the revision? I am curious because I had RNY 1/2010. I did not lose all I wanted, but was very happy. I have gained back about 15-20 lbs, but I notice my blood sugars are going back up. Again, just curious. Thanks. BTW, congratulations on your approval. How long did it take your insurance to ok it??
