Thank you for clarifying this, St. V's is in-network for my insurance company so I didn't understand why I would have to pay the difference.  All the legalese can get so confusing sometimes!

The beauty of a woman is not seen through what she wears. It is seen through how she carries herself and the way she doesn’t allow herself to settle. Don’t ever let anyone take for granted the beauty that is within you. Stand firm and know that you’re a wonderful person. Always remember your value and respect yourself. I’m so blessed to have you in my life.  Sometimes we all need to be reminded how special we really are!

Melissa just texted me and said Noah is here safely!  She will be posting later.  Both of them are doing well.   She will give you all the details!

Say prayers for them.  He was about a month early.  He didn't want "Aunt Tracy" to be gone on vacation when he made his big entrance!   LOL

Huge hugz,

They won't bill you for anything above the contracted PPO amount.  I think that language is in there simply if you have an insurance that doesn't have a contracted PPO amount.

I only had to pay the deductible and the difference between what BC paid and what the PPO amount was.  I think I was billed right around $225, which was good considering the pre op testing charges were way over $1000.

Topic: RE: Surgery is just the first step.

Thank you Tracy and Frankie for your support.

I know that many of us get this surgery forgetting what got us obese in the first place. We just want the physical and emotional pain of currently being obese to go away. We promise ourselves that we'll use our tools and be just fine. After reading Geneen's first book I never realized until then that I even had any type of food disorder.. let alone a food addiction problem. I'm still far from being obese. I wear a size 11-12 jeans, large tops and on occasion I'll put on my Kymaro body shaper on just for that extra Umph! I'm happy where I am but like all women would like to feel better about the way I look, so that's why I'm doing Geneen Roth's material.

I ordered her workbook and was wondering if anyone here would be interested in working the workbook sections with me via email (or I might set up a private Facebook account for us to meet under/at). This is a great opportunity as it saves you money in having to buy a workbook yourself (if your tight on money right now) AND gives you a group of people to have as support to encourage you to be honest as we work thru the assignments and questions together. So if your interested just email me & let me know. I'd really like to get this going in April. \

My email is [email protected]. Everyone is welcomed to join me pre and post ops or if your not even sure you want surgery but might be interested in doing this... just contact me. April is coming soon and the sooner the better to get started on a new adventure. New adventure of learning and rediscovering your self love, self worth, and you!!

Blessings & Love

Topic: Saint Vincent's financial consent form
I was looking over these forms that I have to fill out before I go to the hospital for all the pre surgery testing.  I have some questions about St. Vincent's financial consent form.  It says "I hearby guarentee payment in full....This includes any changes that a third-party payer may determine to exceed usual and customary limits."

Are they saying that I am responsible for the difference between what the agreed upon payment between the hospital and my insurance?  Am I misunderstanding?

Every EOB I've ever gotten from my insurance company has said "The provider cannot bill the patient the difference between the billed covered charge and the contracted PPO amount."

Topic: RE: Introduction-New Here

Welcome.  This is a great place to meet folks and get really good advice.   I seem to go between the main forum, the State one and the RNY forum mostly.  I get good information on all 3.  It took me awhile to become familiar with the site and have not touched on all the great sites on here.  I also attend the Bloomington Support Group the first Weds of each month.  If you do not belong to a group yet you will want to find one to join.  They are so important for support.
