Topic: RE: vitamins?
I like my Bariatric Fusion vitamins. You chew 4 a day for RNY patients 2 a day for LapBand patients. They're available online at bariatricfusion.com . I use the orange cream flavor. Tastes something like a pushup popsicle. $25.99/month for RNY patients and it has EVERYTHING in it you need. 1 bottle, so you're not toting around a pharmacy.
They also carry protein powders. While I'm not a fan of their protein, their shaker cup is cute, and a good size for a newbie post op.

Topic: RE: Elusive Isopure
Isopure, I have only seen at GNC. However, I think you can get it on Amazon. Personally, since surgery, all RTD's have made me ILL.
See your surgery is today. Good Luck!!

If you decide to keep your band too tight, you should be drinking protein shakes. Purging can cause your band to slip, not to mention cause issues with ulcers in the esophagus. If you find yourself doing this often, you should def get your dr to losen your band.
I, myself, would have it losened and go back to the recomended weight loss with the band.

The beauty of a woman is not seen through what she wears. It is seen through how she carries herself and the way she doesn’t allow herself to settle. Don’t ever let anyone take for granted the beauty that is within you. Stand firm and know that you’re a wonderful person. Always remember your value and respect yourself. I’m so blessed to have you in my life. Sometimes we all need to be reminded how special we really are!

Topic: RE: Dr Jones- lap band?
I was at my support group the other nite and the leader asked how many would do the rny over again? Nearly all said they would, with the exception of one woman who was 2 months out. After much discussion, it was obvious she was in a grieving period of missing foods she used to eat. And another lady told her it was normal, that she herself had gone thru it, and it would get better. But it really scared me because even now, presurgery, I find myself grieving and afraid about not eating as I do now. It literally brings me to tears. But, on the other hand, I know I must have this surgery for a longer life. It's just scary and I'm sure you can all relate to feeling like this at times before your surgery date. And, I also know that it's more likely you will lose all your weight with the rny and with the lap band only a percentage. I've made my decision, but still get scared and worried. I believe God has a plan for me and He knows what it is. What is supposed to happen will happen. So I try not to worry and tell myself to just go with the flow. Thank you all for your advice!!! Sincerely, Laura
