Hi and welcome!  I tried nearly every kind of protein out there, and couldn't gag it down.  I finally found one I like, and even nearly 1 1/2 years out, I still drink it every day.  I absolutely hate coffee, but I love Click!   www.drinkclick.com  

I mix one scoop Click and one scoop any brand chocolate flavored protein powder, some ice, and about 12 oz water (or you can use 8 oz FF milk) and shake it up.  If you add half a banana, it tastes like a chocolate Vivanno from Starbucks.

Oh - everybody - while I'm at it, I had a great drink at Starbucks!!!  I love the chocolate banana Vivanno.  Unfortunately Starbucks doesn't have SF chocolate syrup.  So - I had them custom make a Vivanno smoothie for me using FF milk, double protein, the banana, and instead of the chocolate syrup, I had them use SF caramel syrup.  It came out white, but tasted like a banana split!  OMG - it was to die for!

And....   drum roll please....  as of this morning I am only 19 pounds from the goal that the dietician set for me!!!!!!!!!

My name is Rachel and I had RNY surgery on March 29th.  So I am almost two weeks out.  I am having some trouble though and was hoping that I could get some suggestions on protein. 

I am having a horrid time with the protein.  I bought some pre-made shakes and they are too thick and make me gag.  I did not have this texture problem before the surgery.  I ordered some unjury today and the smell is absolutely terrible.  I got the unflavored one.  But here's the deal,  I know I need to suck it up and do the protein regardless.  So I need help to figure out how to do this without making myself ill.    Also I don't know if it is the still recovering from surgery thing or not but I have had diarhea for 2 days now and I noticed that it is worse after I drink the protein shakes.

Please, I will take any and all suggestions at this time.  I know that I will most likely loose some hair but frankly don't want to lose all of it because I can't stomach the protein right now.  How do I fix this?

Thanks for the help!  By the way, I have lost 23 pounds but I really want to just be healthy.

Does anyone know if she has her patients do a 2 week liquid diet? They haven't told me yet and I was just wondering.

Also i have to lose 20lbs in order to have it done lap. do you know if it is alot harder on you to have it done open???  I am so excited, can't wait till I get on the losers side with everyone.

I must be one of the lucky ones... never lost my hair and I didn't take the biotin either.  The first thing I did before surgery was cut my long hair though.  My hairdresser told me I wouldn't be getting enough vitamins and protein to keep my hair from falling out OR it'd get stringy and gross looking... I opted for short hair  

Not everyone is a short hair person though.. it's interesting when I looked at everyone *****sponded to you about the biotin and NOT loosing hair with or without it has short hair - makes you go hmmm...
