Hi !! I'm from Terre Haute, actually live in Rosedale now, north of TH. I had my surgery almost 2 yrs ago. I have been struggling to get my last 50lbs off but, love my RNY and feel comfortable as I am now. I need to get back to the support group. I was going to the guard armory next to North High School once a month but, I haven't been in quite some time. Would love to meet and go to the support groups with someone. I will check out the site.
Good Luck on your surgery!!
Hi, to everyone else that are practically my neighbors :)

Yeah, I am more tired right now than I have ever been. I cannot seem to get the energy I need. I need to find a new protein to sip on. Some of the stuff I liked before doesn't agree with the twins. Actually protein itself tends to make me nauseous, which has been challenging to say the least. But it's all worth it as long as they are o.k.

I know what you mean. At some point you just get tired of watching your own life get waisted away. Especially when your loved ones are also watching. Too sad to let it go on forever. It was time to be brave and take a different path.

Can't believe I don't have to do the 2 week diet, but I do need to lose 20lbs so I can have it lap. I'm going to try a liquid diet (hope I can stick to it) to lose the 20lbs, but If I don't I won't stress over it . It'll just be open, I hear its not so bad.

I had my surgery in July 2005. Day before I had a regular breakfast then the rest of the day full liquids. It wasn't bad. Then afterwards I was on a liquid diet for 3 weeks. But I had problems. She said usually you have soft foods (mashed potatoes, etc) immediately after surgery.
Good luck and God bless!
