Topic: RE: Plastic approval today

Terri I went to see the plastic surgeon back in November (dr lee at st f's) and was told the same thing about the muffin top.  I have decided to wait until I can afford the extra so its gonna be awhile for me.  Probably looking at next year as I am still paying off my copays for my surgery and my husbands oral surgery.  We have a medical credit card it was quick and easy to get but there isn't enough available on it at this time for plastics.

I intened to see Dr B when I am more financially ready and was wondering what you ladies submitted to get approved for help from your insurance.  Anything you can share would be greatly appreciated.

My DH could of stayed with me and used the shower...but I sent him home.  They don't feed them ...my room was private not sure of your hospital.  We had a chair that could lay flat for him..and I advise he take him own pillow ...just to feel like home..he will sleep better.  Those are questions you should ask of St. Vincents....they will gladly tell you!  Patty the nurse from Fresno Heart Hospital  where I had my surgery.

Topic: Saturday Morning

Good morning Everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am at work this morning and hoping the day goes quickly. I have Relay for Life tonight at Rose Hulman which I have never been able to participate in. I am looking forward to going and walking to support a disease (cancer) that has taken my dad's side of the family. Being able to walk on that track will not only bring back memories of the family I lost, but will also allow me to celebrate my hopeful future... thank you RNY.

May you all find blessings this weekend.

I was at St. Vincents and they let my partner stay in my room. They provided a cot, sheets, etc and the shower in my room was available. I didnt think I would need anyone to stay with me but it sure was nice. You are going to be in a wonderful place! The whole floor was great! Good luck to you and may you have a wonderful journey.

The On-Q is different than the pain pump. I had the On-Q, and they told us about that as well. But the pain pump they described would give us a dose of pain meds at our command at the push of a button.

My husband stayed with me.  They brought a cot in for him to sleep on.  The rooms in the bariatric section are private.  They're great over there.  Good luck!
