You are welcome ! Anytime you need positive, support you will find it here. I know how hard of a decision it is. Follow your heart and really check into your surgeon. Trusting him and his staff will put you at ease. Are you with a Center of Excellence hospital? I cannot remember if you wrote about your Dr. If you ever need a recommendation on a great surgeon and staff I can tell you of mine.Let me know if your interested. Great luck with you and your journey!

On the journey to losing weight, your friends & family will be the first people to try to knock you off. They do this not out spite, but out of being convicted and knowing they should do the same. It's easier to put someone down for doing the right thing, than for them to actually do it. So at your next family re-union or wherever you are eat your chicken and broccoli and smile when they make jokes about you, they are jealous!
March 24 is the best to have a baby on. That my bday and that when I had my surgery for the DS.

Thank you so much Christina. I am so happy you are having so much success with the rny. It's what my heart is saying to go with and my brain is following suit as I am hearing more and more positive things about the rny. Thank you for responding! Laura

The best thing I can say is to do what you really feel is going to work best for you to be a success. I chose the lap-band 3 years ago and I had it in 4 days and it slipped because I was vomiting so I had to have it surgically removed. I had 2 surgeries in a weeks time.Fast forward 3 years and I finally had the RNY. at Clarion North on feb 3 2010. And it was the best decision I made, should have done it that way 3 years ago!!I had a superb surgeon,at a amazing hospital and not one single complication has occured. I feel great and I am doing wonderful and to date I have lost 44 pounds!I wish you all the luck and go with your gut.
Topic: OH Gatherings??
Just wondering if a date has been picked for this year's OH gathering at Holiday World or for the next clothing exchange? My family plans on going to Holiday world in June and I'd love for it to be during the OH gathering, but need to get it booked soon and schedule my time off work. Jacqui??
Also, would love to get to go to the next clothing exchange before I go back to work at the end of May. Of course, I'll bring Noah with me! He has to meet his OH family! So, Tracy, Robin?? Any idea when we're doing this?
Can't tell that I'm anxious to see you all can you??

Topic: RE: Going bald
I have to totally agree with the biotin. I had surgery in September. I was not taking biotin. In January I noticed some hair loss. I wasn't too concerned I had very thick hair. In February I was still losing hair and it was increasing. I had seen a lot of posts about biotin on here so I started taking it. I called the nurse at my dr's office and she recommended taking biotin. She asked if I was getting all my protein in and vitamins, I said yes. She said the biotin should take a few weeks to a month and if I didn't notice a difference to call them back. I have noticed a huge difference. Although I lost enough hair that it wasn't looking as good as it use to so I got it all cut. It looks and feels a lot healthier. So to sum it all up, take the biotin it does help. Good luck.

ST. Vincent's will also give a tour of the unit if you stop by. I did that and they were wonderful at telling me what to expect and answering my questions.
