I am in Evansville. I am just starting on my journey. I submitted a form yesterday that I was interested, they called me today and my initial consultation is in 2 weeks. This seems like it is moving fast, however, a lot of people are saying it is at least 6 months before surgery. I was just wondering how long it was from your initial consultation until your surgery.
Thanks
I'm 12 weeks post op now and I wanted to answer the questions I couldn't before.
I feel great! I'm nearly 80 pound down, about half of that was lost post-op. I don't hurt as much' my BP and blood sugar are way lower and have been since 1 day post op. My biggest issue is that my BP is on the low low end of normal so I tend to get dizzy easily but its nothing that makes me regret the surgery :)
Waiting for surgery
My Thought on WLS: I can restrict what I eat, or I can do nothing and let what I eat restrict me!!

I've been on a constant diet for the last two decades. I've lost a total of 789 pounds. By all accounts, I should be hanging from a charm bracelet. ~Erma Bombeck

Hello my Indy folks!!!
I'm new to the area and in search of support groups. Could anyone help me locate one please?

There is the Hensler medical group in Anderson, Indiana it's very expensive though your first visit is $250 so they can do a full work up (blood test, ekg etc.) the medication is another $50 and then they charge you $65 for every visit plus medication every month and you have to go every month. I live in Ft. Wayne, I wish I knew of somewhere closer and I really wish insurance would cover it like they do surgeries.
