Hello Terri,  I'm glad to hear your recovery is going well that's great, Congrats !  The seminar went great, however it was Dr. Evanson seminar and I stated I wanted to have the DS, which isn't a surgery that he does. I put that information in my history paperwork, some how it was over looked. Long story short I have to attend Dr.Inman's seminar, however she is on vacation until Aug, her seminar is Aug 7, I plan on attending that one. In the mean time I did complete the other requirements my pcp faxed everything over on Thursday before the holiday and my psych evaluation is tomorrow, and I'm excited. Hopefully Dr.Stote doesn't make me jump threw to many hoops.

Oh my 21 pounds in 3weeks is amazing!! I'm very happy for you. You'll be at your goal weight before you know it.

Hi Keeshaja.  How did your seminar go? Which procedure are you going to have? Which doctor? Everything went great with surgery. Had a place that healed oddily in the stomach and had to have dilation done,Dr. Caccuci did it, I really liked her.  It was painless and an outpatient procedure.  At 3 weeks out I had lost 21 pounds.  I go for my one month follow up this Thursday.

My Bariatric Life @50yo "after" plastic surgery with Joseph Capella MD and Catherine Winslow MD (Capella Plastic Surgery, Ramsey NJ, and Winslow Facial Plastic Surgery, Carmel, IN) and RNY with Vishal Mehta MD (Mehta Obesity Center, New Brunswick, NJ) compared to My Bariatric Life @39yo "before" surgery. I went from a size 24W to a size 2 and now I am living larger than ever!

I am creating a photo gallery on Flickr of my before and after photos --
Before I became obese
After I became obese but before weight loss surgery
After weight loss surgery but before plastic surgery
After plastic surgery

It is a work in progress but lots of photos are up at this point. My wish is to inspire people to defeat obesity and live a life they love! I've attached a few photos from My Bariatric Life on Flickr and you may view my albums on ObesityHelp to see others.

You have within you what it takes to succeed! Because this I know for sure: If I can do this so can you!

Living larger than ever,

Here is an update on me: I got the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield through the Healthy Indiana Plan. It started today and I wasted no time. I have an appointment scheduled with Brenda Cacucci, MD at St. Vincent Carmel for August 6th. I am excited to say the least. I am going to start a high protein/low carb diet. I am also going to cut out all soda pop and caffeine and try to utilize my Planet Fitness membership. I am having issues with tennis elbow and don't know how much I can do but I am going to at least ride the bike.

I'm in Goshen, but don't know of anywhere local that sells Unjury. Maybe their customer service could help?
