Ugh! Never again will I subject myself to such pain and torture,(unless I like it). I took my little neice to see Ice Age 2 and was miserable the whole time, I had to sit sideways and was still packed like a can of tuna, but since it made her happy and she is staying with me for a week and a half while her parents and g-parents are on vacation I had to do something to make the time pass smoothly. If the cinemas think they are going to make more money by squeezing in more seats for more people they will be squeezing out the larger folks that might actually spend some money in their theatre. Guess they don't look at it that way. I think I'll stick to going to the movie rentals and staying home in my nice recliner. With lowfat popcorn and fresh cold water. Barb

Back when hubby & I both smoked, we switched to home viewing. Since I don't smoke anymore..and hubby won't in the livingroom...we still watch at home. Makes it better for the frequent potty trips..can pause it! LOL! We love Netflix! Sherri

Ive had the same problem. Last time I went I actually had a bruise in my right thigh from the cup holder on the seat. Sore not to ever go back. Much more comfortable to watch them at home on the couch or in bed. Dont even have to get dressed up then. Who needs to pay $3 for a small bottle of water anyway. Heres to hoping by next yr I can fit in there stupid seats and I'll just not go for the principle of it....I'll spend my money on some hot bathing suit instead...lol Mariah

I love the stadium seating theaters! All the ones that I have been in, you can move the arms up and have a bigger seat or sit next to that someone special. I hope that you can find one near you as well!
