Hi All, I am four weeks post op today. As of Wednesday, down 29 lbs. Going in to Dr's office to weigh again today. I've not been quite up to par for the last 3 weeks. I felt pretty good my 1st week home, but then got so tired I could barely stay awake. Then caught a stomach virus at 2 weeks post op. Took about 4 days to get over that, but my energy level never went up and I continued to have a sore throat with swelling. Things finally improved starting Wednesday...my Dr had to take me off of both of my blood pressure meds! My BP was running 86 to 90 over 58 to 60...no wonder I was tired! Then yesterday I finally got some antibiotics for my throat (had to see 3 different Dr's before they figured out I had a bacterial infection) and today is the best day I've had so far! I haven't been walking or exercising because of my low BP, but I go back to work next week and that is where I always worked out before, so I'll start up again next week. To any other new post ops: Make sure you watch your blood pressure! It is amazing how quickly it can go away. I had high BP for 12 years and neither my Surgeon or my regular Dr was sure if I would be able to get off of my meds, but look at me! 4 weeks post op and off both my diabetes meds and my BP meds...YEAH! Good luck to all and have a great day - Cindy

That sounds really great Cindy!! I can't wait for the day I don't have to take my meds. That's really helpful info about the BP. I will keep an eye on it because I take 2 different kinds for it. As for the diabetes, I can't wait to stop taking Metformin and Byetta everyday. Glad to hear you're feeling better. Have a great weekend!! Regina

Hi there Cindy- I can't believe I found you this site- Janie said that you come here alot- do you go to the main message board? Sound like you are losing a lot of weight. I hope you get your energy back soon. I remember feeling like that too- everyday it gets better. Janie had said that your blood pressure was low- take care of yourself and take it easy going back to work! Dave and I and the kids went out to dinner and I finally had a bite of steak- yummmmmm...............I thought I would never be able to taste it again. Take care and I will look for ya again. Shannon
