A funny thing happened.....

Hi all, Yesterday I had a holiday day, because you can't sell beer in Indiana till 6 pm on election day. I guess Indiana thinks you need to be sober at the polls, anyway I finally decided to clean my closet out. I am the kinda girl that over the years if I liked an outfit, but it became to small, I would hang it in the back of the closet and keep it, because, I would always say I was going to lose the weight. So as I'm sorting through things I thought I would try the old stuff on. I was so happy, some of the clothes were even too big. When My husband and girls got home I decided to do a fashion show for them. I put my old stuff on and paraded out. All I got were fits of laughter because the clothes were so old, like 10 years or more they were completely out of style. I was happy I got in them, but could never wear them in public, it was pretty funny. Well I guess I must go shopping now!!!! Sarah

I am happy for you. I know that feeling you spent your hard earned money on those outfits and you just dont want to part with them. My mother and I both have that complex. I am 2 weeks out from surgery and will hopefully get to perform my own fashion show for my hubby soon. Congrats -Amy A

Great Sarah. I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you were doing. I did the same thing last weekend. Went thru my closet and tried things on that is. I skiped the fashion show. We are going to Atlanta in June and I was trying to figure out what I had in there that I could wear. Well, nothing. I went to Fashion Bug Sunday with my 40% off coupon and bought 3 new outfits and a bathingsuit cover for $110! Ready for vacation now! Let me know if you want to go to the Ft. Wayne meeting on the 16th (i think)

Sarah, I hear ya girl. I have clothing from size 16-24. Before surgery I put them all in boxes according to size and now that I've had surgery, it's like I'm going shopping all over again. It's really nice! Hubby keeps saying, "Why don't we get you some new clothes?" I keep telling him, I am getting new clothes.....clothes that I haven't been able to wear in years. Luckily there's not too many of them that are completely out of style. Congrats on the fashion show! Go spend some money on yourself on clothes that are in style and fit ya good!
