I thought I had read once before about someone buying the little plastic containers with clear lids that are 1 or 2 oz size for their meals when they come home for the first months after surgery to properly measure their food and not have to waste food. Where do you find these little containers at? I think they would be great to measure out in proper portion sizes and have them ready to go. Any other suggestions are welcome too. Regina

Tupperware sells little containers with lids that are made for sauces and condiments I think and are about that size. I have a few they are clear with blue lids but I am sure they have changed the color by now ( you know how that goes). Other than that I did get small generic ones from Meijers but can't tell you the oz size Hope this helps! Stacey

Hello, Rubbermaid also has them as well as tupperware, Gordon's has condiment containers, which is what I think you were refering too that are clear with clear lids, also the paper good store at approximately 600 E washington sells them also, any restaurant supply store, hope this helps, they do come in handy, my bariatrics office gave us a supply of them in our preop class. You might try Sam's Club, also. Good luck DAWN

Regina, I bought the condiment cups & lids (like restaurants use) at Cash & Carry on East New York in Indy. I had gotten the 1 oz & 2 oz sizes. I thought they were great because I could open a can of soup, divide it into the 1 oz cups, and freeze. I did the same with mashed potatoes, eggs, pudding, oatmeal, etc. At mealtime, I just took out two of whatever and had my meal. If it isn't convenient to go there, get plasti**** trays. Each cube is 1 oz. Pour your soup in it, freeze, then take out the cubes and package them the way you'd like (baggie, seran wrap, etc). When we owned our bar, I don't remember seeing these cups anywhere else, but it might be worth it to check at Sam's, Costo, or Gorden Foods. Sherri

Thanks for all the suggestions. As soon as I know if my surgery is approved (going to insurance today) I will be making a trip to Indy to get some of these containers. Regina
