18 months supervised

ok now i have found out why i ave been denied, i need eighteen months of supervised weight loss by a physician. i have been supervised by a dr for weight loss, does anyone remember dr zamber i wonder if his records will count also, i have some time in with my dr also any suggestions would be helpful

Indiana law changes July 1 and they can only require 6 months supervised diet. Get started and soon you will be ready. Julie

they normally want these done in resent history....and they want it done every month without missing a month...Hope your insurance is not like that...what i would do...contact Gary...he will know if he has a chance with your ins co, by passing those 18 months...but first call your ins co and find out how resent this has to be, and does it have to be 18 months without missing a month?...in your appeal letter, address only the issues you were denied for along with your health issues with the excess weight. Do not get personnal, though i personally see no reason not to, but it has been said not to..

It had been over 6 months since I did my 2 years with Dr Piatek and they counted it for me.. I went and got his records and the fees were attached.. I totaled them up and let the Insurance know how much I had paid on my own BEFORE asking them to pay for WLS. OVER 3000.00! Linda
