First let me say you have the most beautiful name in the world(it's the same as my sweet husband's lol). I have to tell you I'm still in this process since 2003. I simply will not let it go. Come Monday I'm going to contact yet another hospital and surgeon. Either I have a willing surgeon that my insurance won't accept or vice versa. I'm going to get it right one of these days. Hang in there, come here often and read like crazy. Ask any question you need to have answered. Get pumped to get thin and health. I already have a good husband and a sweet little daughter so it's all about health for me. Pam

Good luck on your journey Mike. There are so many new things you will go through the first year....but it does get easier with time. My worse part of the journey was just wanting to eat 'normal' sized bites of food. I absolutely hated taking the baby bites that first year or so....but I am happy to say that I can finally eat pretty normal sized bites and get done with my meal before it's too cold to eat Take care and welcome to the boards!!! Hi Neighbor, We all have been were you are today, I had my surgery 8 weeks tomorrow and 51 lbs lighter and I feel better then I have in years. With this WLS you learn something new all the time, and the people on this website is awesome. The losing side is a wonderful feeling.
