anthem giving me the run around

ok i have called everyday and no one is giving me any anwsers,any ideas

You have to give them 4-5 weeks , call your doctor and ask when they sent the paper work that will give you a date to go from, then ask if the got the paper work , then ask if anyone is looking at it. I got a big run around and many deniles before I ever got approved. Lisa B

alls i can say is JOIN THE CLUB , its been weeks they went from ill know within 48 hours to being backed up a few weeks ive called and called till they called me and wouldnt let me speak, im sick and tired of waiting , i want to unzip this fat suit and jump out but they just wont give me an answer one way or another. and i started calling the aproval surgery part not custy service cause they dont know anything besides the dates you called lol which is ALOT and almost daily. so huuuugssssssssssssss you cause i know what your feeling but your not alone !!! if you wana scream about them feel free to email me cause usually im screaming about them to my hubby lol ( he says its my fault hunnie cause thats my insurance ) lol anything to cheer me up !! i hate this...i know what your going through....i am sure they are only given 30 days to respond...email gary the lawyer and ask him, he will answer with no charge....

I know what you mean. I had called everyday and finally got some sweethearts to answer. I had been given a member service line phone number of 1-877-814-9709 and spoke to Kathy, who was most helpful. The predetermination number is 1-877-814-4803 and the only person who handles the predeterminations is Celeste, who you only get her voicemail. But I called her everyday till finally someone got me an answer. I got a denial on 1/26/06 and I had mailed my info in on 1/11/06. I had been fighting the insurance companies for 5 years so now I am taking it in my own hands. I went an got financing and am getting the lap band surgery in Mexico for 7000.00. My cousin and her mother had it done with this doctor. My surgery date is April 19th. So best of luck to you my dear. I know it is rough. -Amy A
