Surgery over and home

I had lap RNY March 29 with Dr. Gomez at IU Surgical Weight Management and was released Friday evening. Everything went well, he and his staff are AWESOME and they were there for me every step of the way. I enjoy reading everyone's progress and hearing about successes or even challenges as I know I will face them too. As an IU employee based at Wishard I also felt very cared for as a patient there, no hospital is perfect but the nursing staff has learned a great deal about caring for post bari patients and it shows. Love that nurse on 6 north who won't put up with any dietary messups!

glad you did so well and home so quick....we need more of those nurses...well some places do..what is the trip is being a couple months out and they still want to bring you what you had your first post op meal....

Sorry to hear your husband is having more trouble...your great spirit is apparent on here and I wish you the best. No hunger but tremendous diet coke cravings over here, had two stuck back and finally had to pour them out to keep out of my mouth!
