Just found out I am lactose intolerant. E-gads the cramps were horrible. Don't ever want this again. Therefore, how am I supposed to get all my protein in since I can't drink milk?

I know there are lactose free milks... lactaid pills that you are supposed to take and then be able to eat dairy. I guess you need to check with your Dr. Hope that you can do something simple, because I love Milk and use it to get 90% of my protein since I don't like eating meat much. Good luck! Heather

Awwwwwww....poor thing. The good news is...most people get over the milk intolerance the farther out you get. Guess ya gonna have to hold your nose and drink the protein supplements

I had the exact same problem, in the beginning. Then at about 6 weeks post-op it didn't bother me anymore. Hopefully when you get a little farther out from surgery, you will be able to drink it again. During the time that I couldn't do the milk, I mixed a whey protein, from GNC, with Lactaid milk. Good luck, Freda! ~ Angie C.
