:-) Tomorrow is my 6 Month Post Op App.!
Tomorrow is my 6 Month App. with Dr. Gupta.... I can't believe it has been 6 months already! According to my scales at home I'm down 120lbs!
I'm starting to slow down a bit though...however I still continue with the exercise. I am participating in the Susan Coleman Breast Cancer walk this year on April 22nd (I'm disappointed that I can't make the clothes swap...but excited that I can actually do the walk). Life is great....before surgery I was on 2 Blood Pressure meds and have been off them after the first 50lbs. I lost! Don't get me wrong....there has been nothing easy about this surgery or the decision...however I do believe I have saved my life....at 330lbs. I was just existing....now I feel like I'm living. I still have a way to go to meet my goal...however I know with faith and commitment I'll get there. Thanks for listening....
Vickie, congratulations on your weight loss so far. I know how you feel about just existing and not really living before surgery. I came home from surgery weighing 357 pounds (gained 16 while in hospital). My six month anniversary is next week April 5th and I have lost 123 pounds so far. I too am slowing down but I feel so much better. I have had all meds cut way down and see my PCP next Friday, April 7 and am hoping to be taken completely off them.
I continue to be amazed at how much better I feel both mentally and physically. Good luck on the rest of your wls journey.
