I don't think his endo was till this morning. If memory serves me correctly, the first endo of the morning for Dr. Gupta is usually at 8 (but gotta be at St. V's at 7).

I am up and at them once again this morning. I had the endo done at noon yesterday by Dr Gupta and she said everything looks good down there, no blockage and the pouch is the right size. She did find a polyp in the intestine coming out of the pouch so did removed it and will send it in just to make sure it is not cancerous. She said it is extremely rare that would be the case, but just wanted to be sure. I still have not eaten anything but did manage to get some fluids in including milk last night. Of course they gave me the "Big Gulp" fluid bag. Thank you all so very much for letting me know what to expect. I told Ann on the way down there that I feel at ease knowing just what to expect. I had this vision of them spraying something down my throat and then shoving the camera down there. I did not feel a thing, thank God. You all know us men can really be wimpy when it comes to any pain. So the bottom line is dehydration, low potassium, and flu. She did tell me that she could fix my big ole belly button (looks like a golf ball stuck on the stomach) either today or Friday. That would be done in day surgery. But after my endo and her and Ann having a visit about it, was decided to wait a little longer after I have lost more weight. I have my 6 month with Dr Cacucci at the end of April and will address that subject again as to when is the best time to do it. Again thank all of you for your information, concerns, and prayers. Dan

OH Dan sooo glad you are doing great... I know things will be fine!!! The endo was not a problem with me but I had a bravo probe inserted into my throat a few years ago... they put a tube down my nose while drinking water... wasnt a problem except getting past my deviated septum.. (crooked nasel passage).. That test was gross and I had to be fully awake but there was no pain...Dr McCune was the best endo in the world!!! Linda

Dan, Glad everything turned out fine. I remember when I was about 7 months post-op...and about 2 weeks post-op from my revision. I had a cold and got where I couldn't keep anything down. I thought it was the flu. The doctors thought it was the flu. Come to find out, I was closed up. You just don't know sometime without an endo....and if you need one, can't think of any surgeon I'd rather have do it. I knew you'd be in good hands with Dr. Gupta. Dr. Cacucci is also very good at doing them. The two of them have handled all of mine. I think they both are terrific! Sherri
