CT Scan on gallbladder

Hi everyone, I usually just look and read but do not post very often. I do see that Ed is still having some trouble. I'll keep him in my prayers. I called my doctor today but she is out for 2 weeks. Dr. Gupta is wanting to due a ct scan on my gallbladder. I have been having pain sometime so painful that it is hard to stand. The pain is located right below the rib cage and above the belly button. Sometimes in the rib and back area. Does not hurt when I get up in the morning but as the day goes by, it gets worse. The nurse is going to call me back in the morning on what time I need to be at the hospital early next week. If they determine that it is my gallbladder, do you think they will do surgery right away? How long will I be in the hospital? To be honest, I'm scared. I have two kids at home, a husband here and my one brother just had a heart attack (but is doing very well). I do not want my mother to be any more stressed right now, so I have not told her that I have been having trouble. Thanks for listening

I was also an outpatient for my gallbladder and it was done lap. If it is your gallbladder, it's something you don't want to wait on...the pain will only get worse.

If it is your gall bladder don't put it off! I lived with the pain for over a year for no good reason. I had mine taken out as an outpatient...went in around 7 and was home by mid-afternoon. I felt out of it for a few days but in less than a week I was back to normal.
