Hey all. What do you use to get some extra fiber in your diet? I bought some FiberCon orange SF Chewables, but they give me such gas! Does anyone use anything that does NOT give them gas, but will help with the constipation?? Or, do you have some good ideas for flushing the system? I just feel like I have not been "emptying" enough lately. Sorry for being gross, but hey! We all do it! Heather 301/165/160

Well this is bad, but I always eat a lil more sugar than I should then I dump. I always feel so much better after too. -Courtney

Seems strange... some sugar I can eat more of than others... I have begun to dump too once in a while THANK GOD!!! It sure keeps me on my toes watching what I inhale when Im hungry... Also keeps me clean as a whistle... Linda

I use Benefiber every morning in my vegetable juice. Both my PCP and Dr. Inman said this wouldn't hurt to take every day. It is tasteless and doesn't get thick and yucky. Works for me. No problems.

I use Dieter's Tea. It's available at the Walmart Neighborhood Store over where all the other tea bags are. It's herbal, de-caf, and I get gentle over-night relief. I have previously asked the dieticians about it and they ok'ed it for me. Sherri

Think I'm going for Sherri's suggestion. I go six or more days and it makes me so miserable it's not worth living around me. I'm supposed to see Dr. M today for my 3 month and hopefully he will be able to tell me something. They kept telling me to take Ducalax...it takes at least 6 of them for a few days before I can do anything. Haven't dumped in the 3 months I've had surgery and not sure at times I can??? Haven't really pushed the sugar thing, guess in my head I want to believe I can't have it. Have a great day! Julie

I use Fiber Choice SF Chewables. They are made with inulin rather than psyllium (major gas cause). It doesn't seem to cause as much gas. But I will tell you that you should start out slow, no matter what fiber you use. Start with 1/2 a tablet for 3-4 days and work your way up to the full dosage. Cindy
