It's Monday

and i am up...i lost a wls fighter yesterday nothing to do with the wls....but i have spoke with her several times over the phone and emailed with her for a number of years now....depresses the crap out of me....those of us who had the fight of our life on our hands denials and all that stress we grow close and she was 16 months out...but had other health issues...she was looking forward to getting back to work.....her and i were only a couple of months difference in our wls surgeries...

So sorry Angie... I am so afraid I am going to be one just like her... no issues for the first year or so then BAM! That is ONE of the reason I try to do everything I am told to do and another reason I stay on here and stay active with support... Which reminds me I may not make it to support group tomorrow with 3-6 inches of SNOW tomorrow... ENJOY today for tomorrow there will be SNOW... only in Indiana... dont like the weather here... wait until tomorrow... Linda

Good morning Everyone! Angie...so sorry to hear about your friend. All... We got a new Wellness center at work. A person in our building had sent out a note telling us the hours of it, etc. and had suggested we all sign up on In Shape Indy...Governor Mitch Daniels sponsored health program. I did, but instead of joining the group here at work, I set up a group for us on here. My understanding is that winning groups can win some kind of prizes. Sorry I don't know more about it yet. I'd love for all of you...pre and post op, to join the group. To do so, go to: http://www.in.gov/inshape. Register, and when it asks you if you'd like to join a group, click 'Find a group'. Sorry to hear about your friend. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way and to her family. I'm starting to get a little nervous...surgery is wednesday....AAAAHHH!!! Today I'm trying to get everything here in order at the house. Dropped off the little one to spend two weeks with my dad and step-mom. That was much harder than I thought. Not looking forward to the snow, but hopefully this will be our last bout of it before the sunshine comes in. Have a great week you all!!!!

I talked to a friend of hers and said that she did not do what she was suppose to do. She also said that an error was made during surgery and that a law suit is pending (naturally). I was trying to find out who did the surgery but have not been able to. I really think there is more to the story than meets the eye. Of course it always concerns me when I hear that someone who had wls dies. Dan
