NEW GUY TO THIS FORUM

Hello People: I am in Fort Wayne Indiana, I started this process Jan 5th and have a surgery date of April 17. I am working locally with St. Joesph Bariatric and Dr. Sloan. Anyone else here from the local area???

Hello, and welcome to the board. I am from Grabill, and had surgery 3 yrs and 3 months ago at Carmel St. Vincents. I would like to met you and give you any advice I could. I would also like to invite you to another wls information board. We have a yahoo wls board in Fort Wayne. It is northeastindianawls at yahoo groups. I am by no means trying to get you away from this board. I am a member in three different boards. I use them for updating information and to stay informed on new procedures. Well after three months of Jumping through hoops and having surgery approved by my insurance and having a date of April 17th........I have had it with the local clinic and their treatment.......I thought about this all weekend and called this morning and canceled everything with the FW Clinic..........I might consider St. Vincent, I hear they are wonderful.......but right now I am not mentally ready to start the process all over.....so for now I have put the surgery off indefinately....... I definately do not recommend the local clinic at this time if you care about respectful treatment and a healthy caring environment, or this was my personal experience anyway. I went with them so I did not have to drive to FW. Another detail of my decision is that I now have a possible pending job offer in Philly...... Thanks for all of your kind comments......

Hi Jay I am from Decatur........not to far. I had surgery at St. V's last June and doing great. Down a little over 100 lbs. Good Luck on your surgery, it will be here before you know it.
