April Clothing Exchange

Hi! My name is Kim and I would like more information regarding the clothing exchange in April in Greenwood. This is my first time to post a question. I had my surgery in August of 2005 and I have lost 103 lbs. I would like to know the details on how the clothing exchange works and if I would be eligible to attend. I have just signed up on this website, but I have been a looker since before I had my surgery. Thanks in advance for any advice that anyone can provide.

Hi Kim, Yes, you are welcome to come to the clothing exchange, I am hosting the April Exchange, it will be Aprill 22, from 11:00- 1:00! It will be at Southwood Baptist Church, 501 S 4th Street, Beech Grove, Indiana, just off of 465 and Emerson Ave. There will also be a pitch-in, just bring a WLS friendly dish to share and some baggy clothes that are clean and in good shape of course, to exchange with other WLS pre and post op's that are in need of new non baggy clothes. We ask that you get clothes in your current size as well as a couple of sizes smaller, that way when the next exchange comes around you will still have items to exchange! It really is alot of fun, and a great way to meet others who are going through WLS! Hope to see you there, bring some before pictures, everyone enjoys seeing each others successes! I want to come so badly, but I work every Sat. Are they ever on any other days? I can get a day off here and there, but Saturdays, I'm it! With my work schedule I feel so isolated and would love to meet other Indy area WLS folks. Thanks! Jen 9/23/04 355/162/145?

Hi Jennifer...if you email one of us...we would be happy to get a bag of clothes together for you in whatever size you need and you can make arrangements to come to Indy and pick them up. Thanks for participating and we will certainly work on being more available for those who can't make the exchanges...maybe you can join us for some of our other activities this summer!!! We are going to plan some fun things to do, like shopping trips, picnics and maybe a trip to King's Island.

I would love to come to the clothing exchange but I live in Illinois. Can I come or do I need to live in Indaina. Also maybe someone can help me get a clothing exchange going in Illinois.
