Shots vs. Pills

Good afternoon everyone, Question: Does anyone take B12 shots instead of the trinsicon pills? If you do who do I talk to about doing that? I am having a very hard time taking the pills, they keep going down sideways and getting stuck and it is very hard to drink enough water to get it down. I just thought the shots would be better. Thanks, Tammy

Tammy, I don't do the shots, I do the sublingual B-12. Have you tried that? I buy mine from the vitamin shop, I just let them dissolve under my tongue and they taste great. I'd like to do the shots because you only have to do it once a month, but my Dr doesn't do this. Jaimee

I do the shots once a month. My pcp gives them to me and that way I know I am getting what I need. You can get them from your pcp or your surgeon might be able to write you a script and you can give them to yourself.

I asked my PCP for Vit B12 shots...she wrote the prescription for the B12 and the needles. We can't take the oral B12...we no longer absorb it thru the small intestine. You have to either do shots or the sub-lingual type. Hope this helps.

I have taken the B12 shots from the beginning. First I had my PCP office give them to me once a month but then I had Dr Cacucci write a prescription and my wife gives them to me. I like the price and the fact that I only need it once a month. Dan
