QuEsTiOn On InSuRaNcE pLeAsE hElP mE !!!!!!!!!

I have sagamore health insurance and they have an exclusion for gastric bypass, but i sent in my appeal letter and still havent heard anything from them keep calling them and they say that i need to speak with "so and so" and they arent in. they say that they will leave a message for them and i never get a answer. the one time that i did get an answer the gentleman said that they have 30 days to review and they would let me know i have been waiting and waiting and still no answer. my questions are should i keep calling and bugging the S*#$ out of them or should i just send another letter demanding an answer ? Also has anyone ever purchased insurance from a company to just get approved for the surgery? I am tired of waiting on them to decide and i am just wanting to get this surgery done so i can get my life started. please please someone help me any answers would help ALOT

all gonna depend on what their words are in this exclusion, but would think they would have told you this by now, that no how no way would they pay...i would keep buggin

what the lady said when i called about the denial letter she said that there was an exclusion on hubbys insurance and that i would have to appeal to them and then they would see what they could do she said that i would have to send to letter to them and then they would send it to get it reviewed she said that i should hear something within 30 days and last time i called she said that its not showing up in the computer so they have sent it out to a company to be reviewed i dont know what that means she says that thats all she can tell me for now so i would think if they wasnt going to consider it then they wouldnt have told me to appeal

Hi Amanda, oh no I have sagamore also, I just sent my paper work in. I think it's also called medben? I called in and they are requesting more info. from my PC Doctor. like the past 5 year history but i have on seen her for 1.5 years and really didnt have a PC before her just a OBGYN so i hope they will except the 1.5 year info. i am not trying to scare you but thats what they done to me they said we need this and that and then they said of well nope your denied!!!!!!!! i called today for an update on my appeal and the gentleman i spoke to said that they are 3/4's done reviewing the paperwork i sent in (a total of 123 pages including appeal letter which was 4 pages long) anyways he said that i should hear something by next week and to call and they could let me know GOD PLEASE LET THEM APPROVE ME THIS IS MY LAST WISH IF YOU GRANT ME THIS ONE sheila if you need me i am on yahoo messanger (mandie_the_sweetie) or aol im messanger (mandielovesmike) let me know if i can help
