Discharged Sunday Morning

I was operated on Wednesday Feb 22. I've been in St Francis Beech Grove until Sunday morning. This is weird. There is more mental stuff going on then physical, at the moment anyway. When I got home I took a shower and a nap. I don't care what anyone says, those hospitle beds are not meant for sleeping! Temp and blood pressure at midnight and again at 2am. Change all the IV's at 2a. Stop some, restart others at 3:15 just engough time to fall back to sleep for blood draw from the Lab at 3:30. Doctors rounds at 6a shift change for the nurses at 730 - time for temp and blood pressure.

Boy do I know what you mean!!! I just spent 4 days in getting a complete knee replacement and was soo glad to get out of there... they were ALWAYS in my room except when I needed them.. I press for a pain pill and it would take 15 minutes for them to answer... I started askeing for them 15 minutes early... Linda

Congratulations Robert! I know, I was so glad to actually get some sleep at home. Not to mention, having to blow into the incentive spirometer when you are half asleep. Good luck to you for a speedy recovery! Melissa
