WHY am I struggling???
I try not to worry about it or get to angry but I keep trying harder every week and I am only almost 6 weeks out and I am only losing 1 to 2 pounds a week. I remember my doctor saying "in 2 months you will be down 40 lbs and feel much better" well I am still extremely fatiguedand have only lost 22 punds (2 of it was water weight from surgery and I lost 14 pounds the first week and then sloooowwwed down) . I am taking my vitamins, I walk 5 times a week and drink protein supplements but I am not losing the 4-5 pounds a week I think I should at this stage of the game.
I realized I would hit a plateau or 2 but not in the first month! Whats the answer?????? Any suggestions ......
I "lost slowly" too but then again I look back and say WHEN did I ever continue to loose 1-2 pounds a week??? NEVER!!!
I am down "only" 90 pounds to my peers 100+ but when did I ever loose a total of 90 pounds within 10 months.. NEVER
I am in a size 16 when I really wanted to be in a 10 this summer...OH well it has been 25 years since I was in a size 16.. I am going to enjoy it!!!!
I am beautiful inside and out.. I will make goal someday.. but I am going to enjoy each day of me!!!
Hope you will enjoy you too... Be the best YOU you can be at the time...

I agree with you Linda I never would have gotten this far without it--I just wanted to much toooooo fast I guess. I know someone who had this done and has lost 200 Pounds and looks great--of course she lost it realllly quickly-- maybe its just that green monster coming out in me?!?!
I am trying to concentrate on a better/ healthier life --Thanks for the support - you are a WISE woman Sometimes you just get scared that you are going to be the one it doesnt work for Ya know
Hi Stacey,
Hey, don't be discouraged. The weight does & WILL come off. I try to stay off the scales- it just discourages me when the dial doesn't move. I was told by my Dr. to weigh only once a month right now. It makes alot of sense;our bodies fluctuate daily, & it takes a month to really show our progress. You have lost 22#- good for you!!!!! Just think of not carrying 22# of fat around anymore! Oh my goodness,That is 88 sticks of oleo!!!!YOU GO GIRL!!!!!
As long as you are doing everything you are suppose to,the weight will come off. Sometimes quickly & sometimes slowly. We just have to keep doing the "next right thing".
(((hugs)))

Awwwwwwww...I was a slow looser too....I lost a lot the first month...but I slowed down to the 8-10 pounds a month after that (about 2-3 pounds a week). I was so sad at my 6 month mark and only down just over 80 pounds. But at 18..almost 19 months out I am still loosing...only 2-5 pounds a month...but it's still going.
Don't forget to measure once a month...or try on smaller clothes the farther out you get...with all that walking, you are building muscle and while muscle is smaller in size to fat...it weighs more...but you still loose inches.
You will get there
Stacey, all I can say is hang in there.............I'm "only" at 65 down since surgery and 80 since my high weight this time last year BUT so what, it's just the way I am losing. I have gone from barely squeezing into a 22 jeans to starting to get loose 10's.
Try really hard to give yourself a break............. I can't compare myself to others it would make me crazy. Some also depends on how your fat is composed, mine is very dense. You know how some people are real soft and fluffy, I never was that way.........
Make sure you are getting enough WATER and calories. My loss shuts down if I go below 1000 cal a day, just like on all those other diets over the years.
Good luck and hang in there!!!!
