I'm seriously think I have made a mistake having the surgery. I cry for no reason and I have some sort of a guilt feeling. And what the heck I have rearranged my insides!! I dont feel bad, infact went back to work yesterday, less than a week since surgery. So I know Im not feeling this way cause of being sick or hurting....just thinking maybe I should of waited or something. I'm having a hard time getting all my protein in along with the water....Hubby says give it time it will get better, but I have my doubts... Tammy

Tammy, Believe me when I tell you that we have all been there. I cried in the hospital for no reason. It will get better, and eventually the only regret you will have is not doing it sooner. Anyway, if you have questions or just need an ear to pull on, email or message me.

Tammy, I just wanted to let you know, I too said the same thing and pretty much posted the same thing, I am now 12 weeks post op and can tell you I feel 110 % better now, I am on a mild anti-depressant, the first couple two, three weeks were the hardest for me and then it was like I turned this corner, wow, especially felt better after I could start on some regular foods at 3 weeks out, and now i am 12 weeks out and 53lbs lost, I am with your hubby on this one, please hang in there, and remember how badly you wanted it initially and the rewards that are to come later, if you need to talk give me an email, we could exchange phone numbers too if you would like. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY, please know that you are not alone, alot of us have felt the same way, and felt that we had done the wrong thing, but now, we have changed our minds!!!! HUGS, DAWN IN INDY!!!! Hope to see ya at the April Clothing Exchange!!!

Tammy ~ Give yourself a break, please. If you're not on an antidepressant, these feelings are even more pronounced! Also, you're losing fat and along with that estrogen.......so your hormones may be messed up too! You've had MAJOR surgery & it's only normal to question yourself right now. You probably feel overwhelmed too, especially with trying to get in your liquids & protein.. add to that returning to work so soon! It will get better, but please call about something to help with the lows! You're going to do great and we're here to help!! Hugs, Myra

Hi Tammy, Gosh gal, you just had major surgery ; what you are feeling is normal for most people. Just focus on all the reasons you had the surgery, & that better days are coming. It is hard the first few weeks to get in all you are suppose to. Just do your best gal, & it will be better soon!. Before long you will over this hump, & on to better days. I agree with everyone, sometimes we need medicine to help with the post-surgerey blues. I know it sure has made a differance for me. Remember,to not be too hard on yourself, & give your hubby a big hug for being so encouraging to you. Just know you aren't alone, & that we all care about ya!!!Call or pm. us, we are here for you!!! (((hugs))) Ellen

its gonna get so much better, maybe since i am already menopause this surgery did not stir any hormones up...but i went through that with my menopause....like being pregant and any little thing will hurt your feelings....maybe a sugar free jello would help you...amazing the sugar free good things. now that can not be said for fat free ...lol.. wait till your one month weigh in, your gonna wanna party....(but also remember you are a veryyyyy veryyyy light weight and may lose slower than others....) your a loser go to the goodwill and buy yourself the next size smaller pair of jeans...i bet they will already fit..

Get the antidepressants, write it down because you will be SOOOO amazed in a few months that reading your reactions will be enjoyable... I would do it again in a heart beat even though the first few weeks were rough. HUGS!!! LInda

Tammy, Oh sweetie, trust us you will be so very happy when your body and emotions adjust to the changes. I am 11 weeks post op today and am already a new person. I have lost 51 pounds thusfar and that has been enough off that I have the energy to go the YMCA every morning and work out. I know I never could have done this without the surgery. Sorry that I cannot help with the emotions from the hormones because I didn't experience that but take the other gal's suggestions and allow the doctors to help you with the drugs to help you emotionally get over this hump. Take care of yourself and even though you feel like going back to work, your body needs rest so don't pu**** I went back after two weeks and did fine but I was tired after the day. Enjoy your new journey and your new body. Julie R.

Tammy, If your Dr. Didn't prescribe you an anti depressant then call them first thing.....my Dr. sent home a script for Zoloft and I was really opposed to using it....until I was about 2 days home and started to swing with my emotions so I started taking it and I am great emotionally now. I wasn't paying attention today and chewed my vitamins not well I suspect and then must of took too big a drink of milk...boy was that ever stupid.....thought I was having a heart attack!! I ended up with my mouth watering and coughed up a little bit of milk....I will not be that careless again. Hang in there sweetie, these first few weeks are tough for us and going back to work so soon probably makes more stress on your healing body. You will do great! Email me anytime you like and I will be glad to compare as we are so close in surgery dates. Have a great day!! Keep Blooming! ((((HUGS)))))) Marianne
