Hee hee... I meant WEDNESDAY roll call
Happy Wednesday to all of you. Darrah,it was great to meet you yesterday at St. Vincents. I did get all my questions answered. I think the nurse was very patient with me, HA HA I am just a little bit nervous and a lot more scared. You seem very ready for alll of this. Maybe I will be too by the time my surgery date rolls around. It made the day more fun spending it with you. Hope all goes well today for you. Let me know what I'm in for when I go next Tuesday.
Well Freda, it wasn't bad at all except for the upper GI. The barium is... UGH. I thought the thick stuff was bad. AFter I choked it down and they had me roll all over on a table, she watned to talk about FOOD- when i was trying not to throw up as it was. The wrost is when you have to drink the thin stuff non stop in big drinks through a straw. I took about 6 good sized gulps, and then returned about three of those to the cup in less than 2 seconds. Thankfully she had her picture and it was over. Other than that, its not too bad. There is one other drink for some germ test that Linda was talking about on my accidentla tuesday roll call. It's "citrus" flavored- better than the elmers glue barium anyway, but still not pleasant. That one i just sucked down without stopped and an unpleasant aftertaste was the worst part of it.
It was great to see you yesterday! I hope that youll be ok with the info that you got. I may SEEM ready- but I promise you- I'm every bit as scared as you are But this is where we are, and to live any sort of quality life at thispoint- we know what we have to do!
