need some help with insurance talk

i called the insurance company today to make sure they got my appeal letter and i spoke to a guy and he said that they have in fact got my letter and they have sent it out to a company to be reviewed. i asked what that meant and he said that he couldnt tell me anymore information than that. he said that it can take up to 30 days to hear something depending on which company they sent it to.they would contact me either way which ever way they decide. does anyone out there possibly know what in the world this means please help me

after I think your 2nd appeal it is sent to a 3rd party for review and can be over turned, what i found out with cigna heck they owned both places, but i am thinking not any longer, darn when my brain fart leaves and i remember more about the appeal i will email you.... the 2nd appeal has been a phone call, with cigna, not sure what ins co you have... what reason do they deny you?

its okay i hear you. i have sagamore insurance. and this is only my first appeal.they told me that mine had to be in writting couldnt be done over the phone. so i sent them a 4 page appeal letter. i just hope like H*$# they approve me this time. the reason was that the insurance company has an exclusion(i think i spelled that right) on the policy
