a quick questions that i really really need an answer to

Hi! I'm new here & want RNY. I have health insurance, but have a exclusion. Has anyone in indiana or kentucky bought private health ins. That pd. For the surgery?

Hi Amanda...I DO have PHCS that paid for SOME of this surgery...on my plan I had to have a supervised plan by a physician, but because of my other cormorbidies I think that I slid by...have you called the insurance to talk to them about what you need to complete their requirements??? I wish you the best...let me know if I can be of any help...I had no probs getting approved through them...had my approval in like 5 days...it was awesome!!! Everyone's different though!!! Ooops...forgot to mention that they DID change our plan and their requirements as of Jan 1, 2006, so that might be a problem...I hope not...I think I just got in before things could have got really complicated for me!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!! ~~~Shari

what was the name of the insurance that you picked up and do u know how much u paid for it

Hi Amanda, As far as I know my insurance company hasn't changed it's name. I still have PCHS, they just have changed the requirements for surgery. I get it through my employer, and I'm not sure exactly what I pay...bad I know!!! Let me know what you find out!!! ~~~Shari
