Regarding Sagamore Ins.

Hello folks, I have been looking for any responses from people that have Sagamore ins. I have emailed many but to no avail. So now I will post. Yes I have called them to find out the specifics, it does sound good, but I would like to personally read about any "recent" approvals and what you did to obtain them. Thanks for your help....

I have Sagamore, and they were a royal pain. Although I had multiple documents showing that I had tried controlled diet plans, weigh****chers, LA Weight Loss, etc. they denied my claims at first. I appealed and finally after the 2nd try they consented to allowing me to have monthly doctor visits regarding the weight and weekly dietician visits, which they allowed me to use Weigh****chers. They are very strict about the diets being in the current twelve months. I finally got an approval from them after 18months. Good Luck! Julie R.

i have sagamore and i had no trouble at all gettin approved. but i should tell you i was a revision. i had many problems, was unable to eat most anything (as a result of my old surgery) so that may be why i got approved with such ease.

I have a Sagamore and they responded a very positive yes on the first try, Eileen and Dr. Lindsay's office made sure all the T's were crossed and I's dotted before anything was sent in. That may have helped. I also sent a personal letter along with one from my dr. and Dr. Lindsay. It was noted all prior weight loss attempts and the fact for the past 5 years my dr. was unable to weigh me because the scales could not go that high. If I can be of further help let me know.
