New with questions?

I recently changed jobs and now have Sagamore administered by PBA. On researching them on the site it looks like they are pretty good. Has anyone dealt with them? ANd is it too soon right off the bat to start trying? And also about how long of a process was it for everyone? TIA Tina

Yes I plan on using him there is an orientation Monday evening. I guess thats where you start at. Tina

I was wrong its Dr Throop that's at St Marys. Thats the meeting I'm going to. My insurance pays better at St Marys Tina

That's OK Tina, you still have both of them doing your surgery. If you have it done @ StMary's Throop is "the" surgeon and Burry assists, if you have it done at Deaconess Burry is the surgeon and Throop assists. They both have a great track record, NO deaths for pts that had the surgery in Evansville and very few complications. Good luck!!!!!!!

Hi....welcome to the boards. Can't help ya with insurance (best source for that is the insurance coordinator for whatever surgery center you use). But good luck on your journey

be ready for the fight of your life i have sagamore and they say that its an exclusion on all of their policies i have been trying since nov and just submitted my first appeal letter 2 days ago so again check with your coordnatior

I hate to hear it's been so hard. A lady I work with just had it done on Sagamore in August 2005. She didn't have any rejections. I thought that was really good she had a BMI of 39.2 and a long history of high BP. Good luck to you! Tina
