Lilly's, Anthem, and PS?
If anyone works at Lilly's.....
I have Anthem BC/BS and am checking into plastic surgery (where DON'T I have lose skin???) & a nose job (cosmetic as well as breathing obstruction repair). From what I've been told so far, they can do more than one procedure at a time but with all I need done, it will be 2-3 surgeries. I am trying to get an idea of what Anthem will cover..and I know it varies with the employment company...which is why I am looking for replies from Lilly employees. I'm also wondering if Lilly's would allow any of it under 'medical leave' or FMLA. I need to get an idea of how much money I need to borrow and how much vacation time I'm going to need.
Thanks!
Sherri
I have anthem bcbs through General motors, and most guidlines are the same unless lilly has a certain exclusion. For a panni, must be medicaly necessary, hangs below or at the mons, rashes, back pain...They also paid 100% for my abdominoplasty (muscle tightening in abbs) also medicaly necessary, over stretching of anterior muscles ie.. multipul births, several hernias, large babies..., I dont think they will cover a circumfrantial bodylift, since this is considered cosmetic, nor will they cover a theigh lift, nor branchioplasty (arm lift), or mons lift. They covered my breast reduction 100% requirements are 500cc must be removed from each breast, to qualify. Implants or lifts are considered cosmetic. Dr. Grasee at Turkle and associates handled all my surgeries, and have done a tremendous job. Also hip to hip incessions are only covered for the panni, and if you want the anchor cut you may have to pay allittle extra, but thats up to the surgeon. Dr Grasee, pretty much knows what most insurance co will cover. I paid cash for my arm lift, the total fee was $5000.00, since I had Dr. Grasee do my previous surgeries she gave me a 15% discount on her fee, so I actually paid 4500.00 total, 1500 was for the hospital and anathesologist fee. They do have a company for financing but I didnt need it. Good luck in your journey. Rosemary
