I have a friend who would like the surgery but its obvious she will need to self pay. What places around indiana will let you set up payments and has anyone ever been told how much it usually costs when you pay out of pocket
Dr. Caccuci, and St. V's cost is aprox. $25,000.00. I just went to her recently to start my process, and this was the price I was given. That includes everything at Dr. office and hospital stay of two days. Notice I said aprox... as long as there are no complications they said. I also looked into the south of the boarder forum on here. I would feel ok about going there, but my only problem would be any follow ups when I get home. Some docs are not willing to take you on so quick once you get home. I think for fear of problems that may be from them doing the surgery and they don't want to take any blame.. That's my guess!! Good luck.. I am still waiting for my refusal from our insurance before I can move forward. That is also one thing Dr. Caccuci mentioned. If you have insurance you still have to get a refusal letter from insurance before she can do a self pay.. Hope this has helped..

I had my surgery done at St V's as a self payand it was $20,000. Approximately 5,500 for a doctor. Mine was Dr Rosemary Jones and her office is on the second floor of St -v- Carmel.
However, they want the money upfront. SO if you call the Dr.'s office they can put you in contact with Loan companies that deal directly with medical loans.
Please tell her to be careful --some want to charge alot of interest AND a closing fee. I shopped around and ended up getting a loan personally for just part of it.
I hope everything works out!!
