Ladies~ Acne After WLS?

Hi All~ I woke up this morning to 3 big, honking zits! Not the occasional little whitehead or bump, these are big ole nasty zits! Whats the deal? Its not that time of the month....I'm almost 31 years old, for crying out loud! I know that we women often experience hormonal changes after surgery, but I'm 5 months post op. My diet hasn't changed, I'm still exercising and washing my face regularly, I haven't changed my skin care or make up products, I'm not stressed out....Any suggestions? I'm trying so hard to not pick at them but yuck! I feel like I'm 13 years old again... god I hated being a teenager. Jaimee

i am sure glad i am well into my menopause cos i sure do not want any, and heck i get one now and again as it is..

Estrogen is stored in fat cells...when we burn the fat off...the estrogen is released (hence the mood swings and bouts of depression after WLS). This could also casue the same problems ya have during your cycle. Bummer eh?

Jaimee, WOW-You are looking like a hottie!!!! I love your new avatar!!! My daughter had to start using Proactive because of estrogen changes after her hysterectomy, ( I guess she had to order it) but wow, does it work! She has clear skin now. I know that Alecia Keys advertises it on tv. Hope you get some relief!!! As your Mother use to say-"don't pick it;it will only get worse!" ((hugs)) Ellen
