Vision changes post-op?
I know during pregnancy the extra fluids and extra weight you carry can change your prescription so I was wondering if that happen after WLS too (though obviously in reverse since I'll be weighing less)
I'm due for an eye exam in a couple weeks, but I don't want to spend the money if by the end of the year the prescription won't be accurate since insurance only covers an exam every 2 years.
Just wondered if anyone else had noticed this or if I can safely get some new glasses.
Thanks!
At the "Newbie" class I went to last week, they stated that your eyes do change after surgery- for awhile. Sometimes it takes up to 6 mo. for them to settle down. I had mine checked 3 weeks ago, & found out mine has changed for the better-distance wise. (My bifocals are stronger. I think that has to do with the fact I am developing a cateract on my left eye, & am far sighted & have astignatisim.) Wait until you see if it improves, unless your vision gets worse.
(((hugs)))

I have horrible vision! I am blinder than a bat without my glasses or contacts. My eyes are so bad that I rarely wear glasses in public, they look like coke bottle bottoms!! I just got my eyes checked the other day, my vision did not improve. I ordered new glasses, the lenses are supposed to be ultra thin...we'll see...
