LESSONS ON LIFE There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away. The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall. When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment. The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life. He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up. If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall. Moral: Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don't judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later. -- Author Unknown

Morning All! What a Wonderful way to start the day! Thank you Linda!! My motto in life is "Bloom Where You Are Planted" so it kind goes right along with your story. So many people let the weed of life squish them down and forget to stand tall and let their bloom show...I truly believe we are all Beautiful and we need to feel that from the inside and let it surface to a Spectactular Outer Beauty! Life is so short Ladies and you really need to Sparkle why you are here!! ...Now..what I really want to know is.....Lisa...How was that date?? I am so excited for you! I remember when I started dating after becoming a widow after 20 wonderful years of marriage...it was really difficult at first and then when I met Jon...he was just perfect for me You know the rest of the story...."Happily Ever After" We will celebrate our 3rd anniversary in May. Hey Gals!! I had the best time last night!! I was looking thru the clearance racks at Fashion Bug...and I decide to step out on a limb....lol I picked out about a dozen wonderful Sexy tops in a size 18/20 and I bought them for my New Me Coming Wardrobe!! Woo Hoo!! It seems so funny buying such little pieces....lol I am getting so excited!! Well I am off to get my Saturday chores in geer......You all have a Fantastic Day!! ((((((HUGGGGS)))))) Marianne

Good morning everyone! Bill is starting his diet today. That ought to be interesting! We're going to Vegas the end of Feb and he's been checking out tours for while we are there. Some of them are pricey (one is $350/person) and some of them, if you weigh more than 275 lbs, you have to pay for a second ticket! So...he has a minimum of 19 lbs to lose. I'm going back on the platau buster and he's going to try to go by what I have. This man loves his bread and coke so we'll see. lol I think an activities night out sounds like alot of fun. I've been trying to think if we have any single (male) friends and my mind is drawing a blank. I'll keep thinking though. I think it'd be fun if a group of us went country line dancing. Great exercise. What do you think? Have a fantastic day! Sherri
