i'm Lois and waiting on my insureance to kick in so i can get started I need to do my suport group and im doing it on here cause were the meetins hear couse it is to far to drive so anything u can tell me that you allcan tell me things to do eat avoid anything at all please tell me thanks

Hi lois i am angie...some of us can eat one thing while some us can not...i think it is more of a how your pouch likes something..now pasta and i do not get along, yet Deb does, I can eat steak and Linda can not..

Hi Lois, Welcome! The people here are a very loving, supportive bunch of folks, who are glad to support you!Feel free to ask questions,chat , or just "vent". You might want to check with your Surgeon to see what they mean by "support group". I had to go to Indy-35miles away to get to them. I did find one that is 17 mi. away. Call your local Hospital to see if they know of any close by. Just don't want you to get rejected because they didn't tell you what "attending" meant!! ((hugs)) Ellen

I'm with Ellen... the online way is great but unless you run off every word and evven then I dont think the insurance company would call this attending a support meeting.. we can't even validate coming tot he clothing exchange on the 21st... Linda

The support on here is great!! But it isn't professional...and most insurance companies require at least 2 pre-surgery classes...but those are scheduled by your surgery center once you are in line for surgery. They involve the pre-surgery nutrition class and another class to go over the surgery itself and what to expect. It's been so long ago..I almost forget what I did prior to surgery Dang I am getting old
