Sorry, I don't/didn't. I almost went with St. V in 2008, but my insurance at the time didn't cover WLS. Once I had insurance that did, I decided to go with the St. Francis WLC on the south side, since I live down here. I am/was quite pleased with them. They took care of everything for me; insurance, making sure I had and did every thing I needed to do to meet my insurance requirements, psychologist on staff, etc. If you live close enough, you might want to give them a try. Yes, he saved my life 13 years ago!  I had an lap roux en y and had a leak by his partner that is now retired. Dr. Evanston took me back into surgery and fixed my leak.  He is a great surgeon and has a great bedside manner.

what types of symptoms did you have that signaled the leak? 

Both times were immediately post op. I had bile leaking out my belly button.  For the second leak, I knew what the first one felt like so I remembered the pain. They were trying to send me home the second time and I insisted something was wrong.  I'm glad I stayed!

So was your pouch leaking? How did they fix it?

My husband is currently waiting on a surgery date with Dr. Evanson.  I know a lot of people have used him and love him!  I had Dr. Diaz and he is wonderful, too!

I have surgery with him on 5-16 this year. I have met with him and really like him! Will be able to tell more after I have the surgery!

I have surgery scheduled with him on the 14th this month. I have had some problems with contacting them preop, (automative phone service sucks!) but after I got through they have been great!
