Pre-OP diet...Help

I am having surgery on the 26th at St Vincent in Carmel and I was wondering what the pre-op diet is like and when do you start that? I have my pre-op class on the 12th but I am just so nervous I was hoping someone could help

St. Vincent's may be different, but a friend had hers done at another hospital, and her pre-op diet was very similar to the post-op. Liquids, etc. 

I'm also having mine done at St. Vincent Carmel. Who is your surgeon?

So, what is your pre-op diet? I know 3 girls here at my work that had surgeries and only 1 of them had a pre-op diet. (2 had RnY and 1 had Lapband). My pre-op class is on the 26th and I have VSG surgery with Dr. Diaz on September 10th!

Come to find out I was worried for nothing the pre-op diet is actually only the day before surgery and it starts out as a soft meal at breakfast and you end up as clear liquids for dinner. The pre-op class is VERY helpful it's a lot of information.  My surgeon is Dr. Inman  

Awesome! I'm a bit nervous too. I wish my class was sooner just so I know! :) But, I think I'll be okay waiting!

Thought of you all day yesterday while I was sitting in class! Hope you are doing well!

Hope all went well! I had my pre-op class today, and was so surprised it's only liquids the day before! Well, that's definitely doable! lol
