Hi guys, I'm new to the site.  Still in the thinking stages of getting RNY done.  I don't know which hospital/doctor to choose.  I live near Greenwood, so I've thought about going to St. Francis.  I have also considered going to IU-Clarian or St. Vincent.  Would love to hear some personal experiences or thoughts on any of these hospitals and the programs they offer.

Thanks so much!

I can tell you that I have had surgery at both IU North and St Vincent Carmel.  I liked both hospitals, but prefered the care I got from IU North better.  I know it might be far to travel, but I would highly recommend my surgeon. Dr Ditslear.  I know that St V has an excellent support system and several groups that you can attend, even cooking classes that are free.

Wishing you the best of luck on a very hard decision!

I cannot tell you from experience about St. Francis or IU-Clarion, I can tell you that I would never go anywhere other than St. Vincent's. I had the Roux en y done there November 8th 2010 by Dr. Cacucci, friends of mine have had the roux en y's done there also by Drs. Inman,  and Huse and everything is going well. I love Dr. Cacucci. The staff and doctor's at St. Vincent are amazing, I have NEVER been treated as well as I was there, and I have had two c sections, ligation, hysterectomy and tonsillectomy. I just don't see how you can go wrong with St. Vincent's. I hope this post helps.
